After a long day of travel yesterday, it is so nice to wake up to some sun -- a refreshing sight as Oregon's fall began to get very grey. Although I was in Costa Rica volunteering in a small community four years ago, let me tell you....I miss the rice and beans. There's nothing like a hearty gallo pinto and tamale breakfast to start the day.
Upon a long breakfast full of interesting conversation with Scott, I was excited to see the Heritage group arrive. Props to them for their high spirits after a 24 hour travel day.
Now that we have some food in us, looks like we'll be going into the city to do some exploring and get our bearings. Looking forward to breaking the camera out.
